Abby Dahlkemper

Abby Dahlkemper is a center back for the women’s world cup team. she also happens to be my aunt Monica’s neighbor. This year she was also the face of the women’s world cup. she appeared on coke products and world cup commercials. she was also on the cover of a sports illustrated issue. This world cup, she played every minute of every game, but I believe she was under rated. everyone was talking about Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe, (which both deserved all the credit they received, and they both played amazing) but I think we should have been talking about Abby. She was the backbone of the whole team, and stopped many goals from being scored. As a fellow defender I think she deserved MVP, or at least some kind of special recognition.
